Cinevate Axis jib offers interesting single tube design, large payload

Another day, another new camera crane. Last week it was from Kessler, this time it’s from Cinevate. The Canadian company’s new Axis jib is a clever design that places the mechanical parts inside a single tube. It has a 4ft arm and is designed to take loads up to 22.7 kg. It works with 100mm bowl tripods and takes a 100mm half ball tripod head, or 75mm half ball heads via an adaptor. The Axis package is listed at $2299 CAD and includes the Jib, 100mm bowl, tie-down handle, weight handle, soft carrying case and the 2 lb trim weight. It’s available to order now and new orders will begin shipping on January 14th.

The Axis features a 4 foot reach, a 7 foot vertical arc and supports up to 50 lbs (22.7 kg).
