This is a brief excerpt from DSLR News Shooter

By site editor Dan Chung:

Earlier this month Edelkrone announced an innovative ultraportable new slider product called the SliderPLUS+. Its a slider that offers 521mm of travel (while on a tripod) yet is only 385mm long. This is made possible by a clever roller bearing system where the rails holding the camera carriage also slide along the tripod mount. Basically a slider within a slider. Hard to visualise? Edelkrone today put out this video to demonstrate how it works:

Edelkrone expect to offer a motorized motion control module for the SliderPLUS+ in the future. It weighs a mere 1.7kg and can slide a load up to 7.25kg. Cost is $499.99 US and it can be ordered now on the Edelkrone webstore.
