Finally it’s happening: The cinema5D forums are getting a new management, cinema5D.com along with news and regular video reviews remains and relaunches next week.It was a very exciting time when I first started building the cinema5D forums. Back then most people weren’t interested in the video capabilities of DSLR’s, but a small number of filmmakers around the world realized that there’s great potential in being able to record video on a large sensor camera.The 5D mark II and the Nikon D90 achieved the look and artistic feel of a professional 35mm cinema camera at a price that amateurs could afford. The number of people who started to use this system soon exceeded all expectations and majorly shook up the market and with it the community of HDSLR filmmakers grew.With the cinema5D forums I did my best to provide a platform that serves the community and is a place for serious discussions about HDSLR filmmaking. 3 years later the first affordable large sensor video cameras hit the market and right now we’re at the brink of moving into serious affordable digital cinema production with better and better systems being announced every year as technology …
