Fotocare Launches Revamp of Website: And It’s Actually Functional Now

A little while back, I went to Fotocare’s website and wasn’t able to check prices for purchases when I was price hunting. But today, the company is announcing a revamp of their homepage and the entire website. I did an interview with them for Resource Magazine last quarter and they stated that most of their business come from its brick and mortar store vs online. But now, it looks like that might change if they can find a way to keep pace with Adorama and B&H Photo’s prices. I just went and did a quick comparison of the 5D Mk III and even after a rebate, B&H is still cheaper and generally does still have the most knowledgeable staff–and I’m not saying that because I used to work there.

However, the new features of the site include checking out the Rental Department, student rewards, links to all their social media pages, and perusing their eBay store.

When I first started this website year ago, I walked into the store and talked to a rep–who thought that Leica made the only digital rangefinders. Little to his knowledge, Epson was also doing …
