Not long ago Varavon released the Motorroid Universal Motorized Slider Kit. The kit installs by mounting at each end of a slider (3/8 or 1/4) making it practically universal or easy to DIY onto other brand video sliders. The provided cog belt loops through a series of gears – which allows the motorroid to pull a fairly heavy amount of weight vertically. If you already have an existing video camera slider and just want to upgrade it to be ‘Motorized’ you can purchase the Motorized kit only. The video (above) shows it in use on a long 39″ slider, and also modified to work on a very very small 2′ foot portable travel slider.
